SimpleApps Forms is a forms-building and signature-capture product operated by SimpleApps (PTY) LTD ("SimpleApps", "we", "our", "us"). It lets organisations build branded forms — including indemnity waivers, consent forms and party/event information sheets — share them by link or QR code, and collect finger-drawn signatures and responses from respondents on their own device.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You're responsible for all activity under your account, including the forms you publish and the data you collect through them.
You are the party responsible for the content of the forms you create and for how you collect, use, and store the personal information respondents submit through them, including under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). SimpleApps processes that information on your behalf as an operator, not as the responsible party for your form content. You must ensure your forms have a lawful basis for collecting the information they request, and that you handle respondent data appropriately once exported or downloaded.
Signatures captured through SimpleApps Forms are stored as drawn images alongside basic audit metadata (timestamp, IP address, device/screen size). This is a best-effort record intended to evidence consent or agreement — it is not a certified or legally-accredited electronic signature service, and you should seek your own legal advice if you require a signature with specific legal or evidentiary standing (for example, under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act).
We take reasonable care in operating the service, but forms, PDFs and exported data are provided "as is" without warranty of accuracy or completeness. You are responsible for reviewing your form content and any generated PDF or export before relying on it.
You agree not to:
New accounts start on a free trial. After the trial, continued access to publish new forms requires an active paid subscription; pricing and billing terms are shown in the dashboard and may change with reasonable notice. Fees, once paid, are not refundable except where required by law. You may cancel at any time from the dashboard; cancellation stops future billing but does not refund fees already paid, and existing published forms and past responses remain accessible for the remainder of the current billing period. Accounts are subject to a fair-use limit of 1,500 submissions per month and an upload size limit of 4MB per image(logos, cover photos and block images); we may contact you if your account consistently exceeds these limits.
The SimpleApps Forms platform, branding and underlying software remain the property of SimpleApps. The content of the forms you create, and the responses you collect, remain yours.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SimpleApps shall not be liable for any loss, cost, or damage (direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential) arising from your use of the service, including any loss arising from your handling of respondent data, the content of your forms, or reliance on a captured signature or generated PDF. The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under South African law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SimpleApps and its officers, employees and agents from any claims, damages, losses or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service in violation of these terms or applicable law, including claims brought by respondents whose personal information you collected through your forms.
We aim to keep the service available and your data intact, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and are not liable for outages, scheduled maintenance, or factors beyond our reasonable control.
You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will ask you to review and accept the new version before you can continue using the service. Continued use after a non-material change constitutes acceptance of the update.
